May 26, 2014

so... I was a little sad today when I realized that practically nobody wrote me this week... But I still love you all!

this Week was one of the most stressful weeks of my mission! Satan really worked hard this week to intervine in the Lord's work. We had 21 children of our Heavenly Father that were going to be baptized in our zone. only 9 of them made it into the water. The great thing about this life is that we just need to search out how to become better! the Lord has given this marvolous church and glorious gospel to become perfected in him! I know that we simply just need to strive to become better servants!    13 Ye are not able to abide the presence of God now, neither theministering of angels; wherefore, continue in patience until ye are perfected. D&C 67:13
our goal is to return and become perfect like our Father and that is a lifelong process! I hope and pray that we all humble ourselves before our savior and allow his Grace to perfect us. I would like to talk about one experience that I had! to bring all these souls unto the savior, we had a zone fast this week to help those that the Lord had prepared to be baptized. we ended our fast and that very night we found a young man that had been attending our ward and seminary for quite awhile. We taught that wednesday night and he said, "I just want to leave my errors and these bad feelings behind and feel what you guys feel." We taught him in three days and he was baptized this sunday by his best friend. I know that people Everywhere are prepared to feel the power of the atonement in there lives. Through FASTING and Prayer with faith, the Lord will lead us to find who is ready to receive him. I know the Lord Lives and Loves us!

So it was great to hear from mom and dad this week! Continue to work hard with mike briggs! you had a special regional conference? that is cool that you had a special conference this last week! what did you learn? haha and after all that hard work with in quapps house, it has been all torn out! but that is okay. I think you can get a long way with tim! he talked to me one time about the temple and seem pretty interested!

So I am still Zone leader with elder Miller and our son Elder Loyola. things are going well in our area! we our finding a lot of new investigators and we had a baptism this last sunday! his name is aganaldo. he is 70 years old! after he was baptized he sang for all of us nearer my God to thee. the spirit was really strong not because he could sing that well but because he tried to praise God the best way he could! this last week was amazing! we had a visit from one of the seventy! His name is Moroni Torgon! I learned SOOO much with him! the real key to this work is to Bring the savior unto people! When people feel the presence of the savior with us and if they are the elect they will follow him!  D&C 29: 7 in order to bring the savior to those that we teach, we must repent. there are no excuses in the Lords work. If something is an obstacle we must simply repent and through our faith Miracles will happen! there were so many things that I learned! He was incredibly inspired servant of God! Also Pinhais stake will be using our building to have a visit form member of the Area presidency! (Elder Soares) whoo hoo!  this week the Lord has set a goal for the mission to baptize 232 souls. If through this week you could pray for Tarumã (tar-ru-mah) Zone that would be awesome! :)

It was awesome to see you all yesterday and that you are all doing so great! And that is SOOOO Cool that Jeff came and stayed for dinner! WHOO Hoo I hope he felt apart of the family! if it be possible maybe I could get his email because spain is pretty far away to send a letter! haha It's a deal, I will stop once and awhile to have a candy bar! I will send pirtures next week!

This week was a little difficult just because of finally being transfered and all the changes but The work will go forth and our trio is great! really as I have pondered about this week, I confirmed something that is very important in Preaching the Gospel! The most important thing that we can do to teach effectivly of friends and neighbors is to listen! through this the spirit will give you what you need to say! Listen and guide the conversations that you have with people everyday and the spirit will help you identify what part of the gospel they need to hear! I know that will worthiness and with an open heart to listen, We cannot fail in the service of the Lord! I love you all and Keep your faith in the savior!

This week it was really great to hear from all of you! Especially Spencer! Whoo Hooo Batismo! Don't you have that good feeling? To know that you helped someone enter into the path that the savior has given us. it is a happiness that really doesn't have words to describe! As well mom and dad that is awesome that Mike Briggs is coming to church! Whoo Hoo! You two are doing a huge thing with him! is he as being taught by the missionaries? And thank you for the money you put in my account!  I am also happy that you are studying preach my gospel throughly! Chap. 11 will help you focus more on the most effective way to call repentence! It is awesome! It is the MOST critical point of missionary work! Oh man Ryan is so right also! I only Have 10 MONTHS left! it has gone by so quickly! but, I am not done yet! Mothers day 3 o'clock your guys time sound good? Just send me the email I can connect with on skype!

So I am leaving My second Home ward, Pinhais! I am sad because it has been so marvoulous to see all the Recent Converts progress so well, but I know at the same time there are those that are waiting for me to come to the new area to help them come unto the savior! But this final week was a week full of happiness! we are reactivating a family and their son was baptized and as well Ana Paula was baptized! I felt at peace that I was able to stay long enough to see her baptized! Elder Flores and I found her in february! Elder Foster is improving his portuguese much faster than I did! And The TEMPLE was so GREAT! I have been able to understand much more about the Father's plan and it was great to remember my convenants that I have made with the Lord! Covenants are the power that drives us to follow our savior! I know God lives! His work and his love have never ceased! I have shared this scripture probably but It is how I feel: Alma 36:24   Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto arepentance; that I might bring them to btaste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be cborn of God, and be dfilled with the Holy Ghost
May we be filled with that joy and Share it so the Joy may not cease but continue on! I love you all!

It was once again great to hear from Dad this week! thank you for your testimony about the Saviors Atonement! I know that we all have been called to stand as a witness of our Savior and I hope that we do so! So with mike did you have the opportunity to teach him with the missionaries? Our investigators did come to church! continue to pray for that Our district can have the capacity to teach with power and authority and that we may have the gift of discernment!

Whoo Hoo my new son has arrived! Haha and actually he is American. He was only born in Haiti and is adopted! Ha and now at mission conferences my head wants to explode because I am translating for him. haha the other really cool thing is that he served in Utica New York and was trained by one of my friends there! His name is Elder Foster! This week I have reflected a lot on the power of faith! I know that miracles can be realized as we have faith in our Savior! Whether it be for the well being of our family, sharing the gospel with a neighbor, or leaving behind our own sins! Miracles can happen everyday in our lives as we permit them to happen. the real question is how? We must be persistent, without doubt, and show our desire by our works. I have already had many instances here and before my mission that has shown that only through our works and the grace of the Savior can great things come to pass! I continually hope to grow my faith. I hope and pray that throughout this week we may all think about how we can show our faith in the Savior. He gave everything for us and continues to do so! May we show our faith and act!
